Waiting for the rest of the day the expected caravan arrives and they negotiate a fee with Rooner for protecting them through the forest. With the battle so recent the travel through the night but are attacked before sunrise with the forest edge in sight. Bolts fly at the caravan from both sides and a tree falls across the road. The party scatters into the brush and slay the orcs on the left; the rest flee before the onslaught. Camped away from the forest they rest for the morning but are attacked by a phase spider that drags away one of the guards.

Late in the evening they get to D’Onquay and leave the caravan to go shopping at the armourer and wizard’s tower. Morlaf seeks employment at the tower but is rebuffed by Vincent the White Mage when he admits to following chaos.

They stay the night at the Wyvern Inn and Ulalume starts paying peculiar curiosity to the patrons. She sneaks into a room in to a patron’s room in the middle of the night and cruelly slays him in the dark.

The next morning she sees the intended victim sitting to breakfast…
